Only a few more days and school starts again.  Queensmount staff have been busy all week getting things ready for another school year of learning.

Class lists are now up at the back of the school and will remain up over the long weekend.  Students should arrive at school by 8:10 a.m. and find out their class.  Grade 8 students, at the entry bell can proceed directly to their homeroom.  As we are undergoing construction (information is in the opening day package), they should enter the building at the back of the school through the doors by the library.  Grade 7 students should go to the gym at the entry bell.  They will enter the gym through a door by the parking lot.  Teachers will be outside directing.  Class lists will be posted in the gym as well and students should stand by their class sign.   Don’t worry–teachers will be around and no one will get lost.

As principal of the school, I am excited to welcome everyone, but sad that I am saying goodbye to Queensmount.  I have accepted a position as a system administrator working out of the Education Centre effective Tuesday, September 6, 2016.  Queensmount Senior Public School is an awesome school with a committed and dedicated staff.  I will miss working here but am eager to explore new challenges in my new position.  Mrs. Nancy Jutzi, an experienced principal, will assume the role of  principal at Queensmount for the month of September until a permanent principal is appointed by the board.

I wish everyone in the Queensmount School community a wonderful school year!
