Dear Queensmount Public School Families,

I want to make you aware of a situation that affected our school today. Just after noon, I directed our school to evacuate the building, as a precautionary measure, due to a significant amount of exhaust entering the building as a result of nearby construction. We relocated staff and students to the Queensmount field. Staff and students were safe at all times.

After two air quality tests, we returned to the building around 2:00 p.m., when it was determined by WRDSB facilities staff that it was safe to return to our regular school routine.

We will always take whatever precaution is necessary to ensure the safety of our students and staff. As always, please call me at the school at 519-578-0040 if you have questions or concerns.
