Dear Parents & Caregivers,

We hope you all had a restful and safe weekend. Happy Easter to our families who celebrate!

We wanted to connect and update you all with some information:

Mrs. Heidi Kolb, our interim Principal for Mr. Lencz, has completed her time with us. We wish her well! At the same time, we welcome Ms. Kristin Phillips (retired former Queensmount Principal). She will be joining us on Tuesday, April 6th for the remainder of the year.

On Thursday, we sent home school chromebooks for students who expressed they needed them in case we were at-home learning. PLEASE ensure your child brings the chromebook and charger back to school as there are no extra chromebooks for them to use during the day. We will sanitize all chromebooks once they are returned. Thank you for your help!

Please continue to complete the daily Ministry Screening for your child.  If your child has ANY symptoms, minor or not, please ensure you keep them at home and contact the office to let us know.  Thank you for your diligent support and effort!

Also, we have live synchronous online classes from 8:20-2:40 pm for the students in the cohort that were dismissed due to the COVID-19 positive case we had last week. The schedule is the same as in-person. Tuesday, April 6 is a Day 5 on their schedule. Please ensure your child is online at 8:20 am for their first-period class.  Thank you for your support!

Grade 8 Grad photos will take place on May 7th. Please refer to the School Day message sent last week for details.

Finally, we wanted to share an upcoming parent session. The Parent Involvement Committee (Pic) of WRDSB is hosting its annual event for parents and caregivers THIS WEEK. This free 3-day virtual speaker series is designed to ENGAGE-EQUIP-ENERGIZE parents and caregivers in getting through the rest of the school year. Register today!
