November 20th, 2025
Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is excited to announce the dates for the upcoming in-person Town Hall Meetings for the Strategic Plan Community Consultations.
The goal of the Town Hall Meetings is to gather information on how we can continue to improve our efforts to support the educational needs of students in the WRDSB. Members of the team at Overlap Associates, a local strategy firm, will facilitate the Town Hall Meeting, which will provide multiple methods for sharing feedback and anonymous reflections in an open house style format.
We are seeking feedback on the current WRDSB Multi-Year Strategic Plan, which has been in place since 2022. The information provided through the Town Hall Meetings will provide direction for the WRDSB as we continue to strive for improved student achievement and well-being.
The WRDSB invites students, staff, parents, families, caregivers and community members to participate in the Town Hall Meetings. We welcome feedback from all members of our community and we are eager to hear from a wide range of perspectives.
The Town Hall Meetings will be held:
- Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at MacGregor Senior Public School (32 Central St. Waterloo) in the gymnasium at 6-8 p.m.
- Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Forest Heights Collegiate Institute (255 Fischer-Hallman Rd., Kitchener) in the library at 6-8 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Galt Collegiate Institute (200 Water St N, Cambridge) in the library at 6-8 p.m.
Virtual Town Hall Meetings will be held in January 2026 for those who are unable to attend in-person.
Please contact consultation@wrdsb.ca or 519-570-0003 if you have any accessibility or accommodation needs to participate.
What to Expect
Similar to the Strategic Plan Community Consultation Survey, participants will have an opportunity to engage in stations to provide feedback on the current WRDSB Multi-Year Strategic Plan. There will also be a designated space where community members can speak directly with WRDSB leadership.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Only members of the WRDSB Research Department and members of the team at Overlap Associates will have access to individual responses. In our public reporting, WRDSB staff and Overlap Associates will combine individual responses with the responses of all other Town Hall Meeting participants so that no individual responses will be shared in any of our reports or documents. Refer to the Privacy and Data Security webpage for more information.
