Next week, from February 2-6, the Queensmount in Action leadership team  is holding a Potato drive to support kitchener’s  House of Friendship. House of Friendship raises 300,000 pounds of potatoes per year. This is the amount of potatoes House of Friendship uses each year to provide meals and emergency food assistance to people in their 18 community programs.  The organization, was founded in 1939, and it envisions a healthy community where all can “belong and thrive.” The Queensmount in Action team believes that young people are an important part of a community that has the ability to create positive change.  All, Queensmount students are encouraged to participate in this Potato Blitz by bringing in a bag or a smaller quantity of potatoes. Please be part of the change and help neighbours in need by bringing in those spuds!
