MAGNET PROGRAMS & SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS
MAGNET PROGRAMS
Magnet programs are specialized high school programs that focus on specific areas. These magnet programs are only offered at specific high schools.
For some magnet programs, you need to apply to be selected. For others, if you meet the requirements you are accepted.
If you are accepted for a magnet program at a high school outside of your home school boundary, you are responsible for finding your own transportation to and from the school. Exceptions include students involved in the Fast Forward or English as a Second Language (ESL) programs who live more than 3.2 km from the nearest school offering the program.
